Awesome school and lots of fun

FOSM

Friends Of Forres Sandle Manor is a committee run by parents and staff with the aim of promoting friendships and to involve all members of the school community in social, recreational and supportive activities to help the future development of the school.

To this end, FOSM organises a number of social events and support during the school year for parents, children and staff. Any surplus funds raised from these events are used to purchase ‘extras’ for the benefit of the children; recent purchases include a digital camcorder, canoes and beanbags for the library.

At the start of the school year FOSM hosts a Drinks Reception providing an opportunity for parents to meet and mingle with friends old and new, accompanied by music from some of the children.

Fireworks Night at school consists of sausages on the barbecue and Mr Moore’s mulled wine on the terrace, and an excellent view of the professional fireworks display on the playing field.

FOSM Night concludes the Autumn Term; an amazing evening of entertainment organised by the Music Department and a showcase for the depth of talent within the school community, together with dinner and a licensed bar - an event not to be missed!

Quiz Night is a light-hearted, very sociable evening with a Ploughman’s Supper and licensed bar. Teams of eight compete for the honours … or the wooden spoons.

FOSM also runs a bar at the School Play and serves Pimms on Sports Day.

FOSM welcomes all suggestions for the spending of FOSM funds – please contact the current chair, Emma Fearon, with your ideas: emma@extraordinarycoach.co.uk
