Awesome school and lots of fun

Project week

There are many children in the school who will tell you that Project Week is the best week of the school year. In fact, teachers feel that way too as it is a week when children and adults can explore, discover, challenge and achieve.project week

Every child in the school has a week devoted to exploring something new, indulging a passion and discovering something about themselves. In the Pre Prep, the children explore a topic and are based in school. As they grow older and are more able to spread their wings, the children in Years 3 through 7 can choose an activity based on their interests or curiosity. The Year 8, wishing to spend the last week of their prep school life toegether, will be off for a week of surfing and adventure in Cornwall.

For culture vultures, we have had trips to Paris, Belgium, Bath, Venice and Rome. Adventurous types have gone white water rafting and camping in Canada, exploring haunted castles in Wales, surfing in Cornwall, white water rafting on the Wye and trekking and potholing in Derbyshire. Music, drama and art activities have always featured, allowing the children passionate about their craft to have a whole week to take their new found skills to a higher level. Children have had opportunities to attend ‘Outward Bound’ activity centres, explore the trail of Enid Blyton and become archaeologists for a week!
