11+
11+ testing is determined by the grammar schools; it is their admissions procedure. Usually children must sit tests in mathematics, English and verbal reasoning. In addition, there is a free writing paper prepared by the School, in which children are required to write an essay on a given topic.
Parents must apply to the Local Authority and the family must live within the catchment area of the school.
